Ciara & Tyler // Camping Adventure Sneak Peek // Styled Engagement Session // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks // Jessica Patricia Photography

Guys, this was so much fun.

Ciara knew I was itching to do something a little more customized and was excited for her and her boyfriend to be the subjects.  The concept was for a “styled engagement session” with a camping theme and I think we did a good job!

Tyler (a Pensacola Beach fishing captain) shuttled us by boat to an island where we set up shop and had a great time.

Here is a sneak peek:

Nikki + Jon // Engagement Session // Pensacola Beach, FL // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks

I met Nikki & Jon for a sunrise beach engagement session.  We had the skies working against us – it had rained leading up to the session, but cleared up.  Only remaining items from the session: cloudy skies.  Sooooo, maybe we didn’t get the sunrise skies we were hoping for.  At least it was beautiful!  The beaches were clear, the water was calm and emerald green and the weather was nice and cool (well, as cool as it can be in the summer here in Pensacola Beach).

These two were a lot of fun and were up for just about anything, including getting in the water!

Portrait Photography Investment Information // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks // Pensacola, FL

This post is a little different than my normal Sunday post.  I want to talk to you about portrait session pricing.  Portrait sessions are geared toward family sessions, children’s photography sessions and maternity sessions.

Right now I offer 2 session packages: All-in and Basic.

The All-in session is more expensive, but the reason for that is that he session fee includes all digital files via digital download with print release.  Why is this such a great deal?  Because you are getting your entire session at a really reasonable price.  All digital files?  What does that mean.  That isa great question.  Generally, I upload 25+ photographs to your online gallery, plus a black & white version, and often an artistic edit.  So, with the All-in session you don’t have to choose.  You get them all.  Kind of amazing, actually.

The Basic session is pretty much what was offered while I was portfolio building and doing TFP sessions: there are 10 digital files via digital download with print release.  That means you need to be selective and choose the images that you love.  I do offer the option to purchase additional digital files through the online gallery for an additional investment of $20 per digital file.

Sheaffer Couples Session // Pensacola, FL // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks

These two love birds got married in July 2013 and I had the honor of photographing them as {almost} newly weds in November 2013 (yes, yes, my blog posts are slightly delayed).  They are two of the most laid back people I have ever encountered and were so fun to work with!

Directly following shooting them I had the honor to shoot Michelle’s side of the family – you can see that session next week!

Here is a look at their photo session in downtown Pensacola:

Katie & Austin Couples Session // Sunrise Session // Couples Photography // Pensacola Beach, Florida // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks

I met Katie & Austin at the snorkel reef at Pensacola Beach on a very chilly morning for a sunrise couples session.  She is a student and he is serving his country.  They found their way to the Gulf Coast from Michigan, which is quite a ways to travel.  They were troopers despite the abnormally chilly morning :)  Although there may have been a chill in the air, the sunrise was beautiful!  The sky was clear and crisp and the water was aqua blue.  All we could have asked for was about 10 more degrees on the thermostat!

Here is a look at their early morning session:

Surprise Proposal // She Said Yes // Fort Pickens // Pensacola Beach, FL // Couples Photographer // Engagement Photographer // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks

Zach contacted me to see if I could shoot his proposal to Carolyn. He had it all planned out – lure her to the beach for a sunset picnic, ask her the most important letter she’ll ever answer, and give her a letter from her dad (because Zach went out to see him to get his permission earlier in the week, how stinking adorable!).

Keeping myself out of the line of sight on a beach was a much more difficult task than I had anticipated.  I guess I thought I could look like I was bird watching (there was a giant blue heron hanging out), but that could only last so long.  And the sun set really quickly, but the mission was accomplished.  And, most importantly, she said yes!

Here is a little peek into their sunset proposal:

Thank you to Zach for reaching out to me to capture this amazing moment between you and Carolyn!

Congratulations to both of you on your engagement and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness!!

Amanda & Zac’s Engagement Session // Pensacola, Florida // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks

I met with Zac and Amanda on two different occasions to shoot their engagement session.  We didn’t plan on two different days, it just kind of worked out that way.  Even though we planned ahead of time, a tropical depression/rainstorm got in the way of the originally planned session date.  So we met up a second time on the rain date to finish up the session.  We shot all over Pensacola – from Palafox Street to Dolce (the best gelato, ever) all the way to Bayview Park.

Here is a sampling for your viewing pleasure:

Davis-Spraggon Engagement Session Part II Sneak Peek // Bayview Park // Pensacola, FL // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks

The first 1/2 of Zach and Amanda’s engagement session took place over a stormy weekend when a tropical storm was rolling through town.  For part two we had amazingly comfortable weather that you can possibly have here in Pensacola – a calm breeze, a sunny sky and a temp hovering around 75.  Whew! The perfect storm!

Here is a teaser from part 2:

Taylor Surprise Engagement Sneak Peek // Fort Pickens // JPB Photography by Jessica P. Banks

This evening I had the opportunity to capture a surprise engagement on the beaches at Fort Pickens.  Zach and Carolyn headed to the beach for a sunset picnic and it turned into so much more!

I have to admit it was pretty hard to keep from being seen since we were on a beach.  But I think I kept out of their line of sight until I was supposed to be seen :)

Here are some teasers…

Will you

Oh, and there is a photographer

She said Yes!

Congratulations and best wishes to Carolyn & Zach!! :) Thank you for having me along for all the fun and excitement!

Full engagement session post to follow in the weeks to come!
